I haven't even officially started my challenge and I am already dreading this. It is so rainy and gross outside that the idea of walking outside seems very unpleasant. I really hope it stops raining soon!
What: Kelly's One Mile Challenge - my quest to increase my muscle strength through daily exercise so that I can walk one mile without resting or assistance.
Why: I have a form of muscular dystrophy called Congenital Myasthenic Syndrome (CMS) that weakens my muscles so that physical exercise for prolonged periods is difficult. I work out pretty consistently, but I am still concerned about how well I will get around when Josh and I go on our honeymoon next January.
When: I plan to complete my goal by the time we leave on January 8, 2011.
How: I will exercise daily through walks, yoga, exercise TV and training so I can walk one mile! I will definitely need to find walking buddies, so let me know if you want to join!
